Rise of Rosa have been making leather products since the last century, because we simply love the product.
We started our brand because we have a vision for all people and the environment.
The lives of the people who produce our bags are just as important as the lives of the people who use our bags.

Development

We strive to develop further and to work inspired in this way and to continue to dedicate ourselves to the people around us.

Conscious

We are permanently committed for the people around us.

Responsibility

We aim to produce all our products sustainably from raw material to finished product by the end of 2022.

Rosa and Responsibility

Our bags are sustainably produced by SA8000 certified factories. This is the highest possible certification for a factory at the moment. Manufacturers that want to achieve and maintain this certification must go beyond just meeting the standard. SA8000 is based on the principles of international human rights. It measures the performance of companies in eight areas that are important for social responsibility in the workplace, as follows: child labour, forced labour, health and safety, free association and collective bargaining, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours and compensation. Certification inspection is performed by the internationally accredited Veritas and Société Générale de Surveillance [SGS].

The leather of our bags comes from high-quality tanneries which are certified by LWG with, among others, Silver Label. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is an international, non-profit organization responsible for the world's leading sustainability certification for the leather industry. This choice has several advantages for man and environment, including the reduction of water consumption and the use of water purifiers. In addition, the use and storage of tanning agents and dyes is subject to strict rules. An additional requirement is that tanneries must have a certificate for socially responsible business practices, such as the SA 8000 certification. We consider it a success that we buy LWG-certified leather and use it as a sustainable material for our bags. But our sustainable mission does not stop there. The future holds challenges for us to keep improving at every opportunity.

In addition to the Indian legal standards, BSCI and SA8000 are internationally recognized standards with SA8000 being the most stringent certification worldwide. Our factories must comply with this SA8000 standard, and are rigorously checked to maintain it.
