Thoughtful Material Selection
Sustainability is at the core of our company and guides every decision we make, including our choice of materials. We explore ways to incorporate recycled materials into our products, seeking responsible alternatives when necessary. From the leather to the thread and the lining to the packaging, we diligently seek the most environmentally-conscious options.
While we are currently satisfied with the materials we use, we remain progressive. We closely monitor technical developments to discover new possibilities for enhancement.
At our company, we prioritize sustainability and have made several conscious choices for our products.
Leather Working Group – LWG
We exclusively source our leather from LWG Silver-certified suppliers since 2022. This ensures a significant reduction in the use of resources (energy, water, chemicals) and promotes recycling. The tanneries we work with adhere to the strictest environmental standards in the industry. The Leather Working Group (LWG), an international non-profit organization, plays a crucial role in raising environmental awareness and promoting responsible use of tanning agents. It also prioritizes working conditions in the leather industry.
Recycled lining from Waste2Wear
Forest Stewardship Council – FSC
When it comes to the materials used in our bags, we are committed to using FSC-certified responsible paper for all cards and packaging boxes. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) maintains stringent standards for forest management, including environmental, social, and economic aspects. This certification ensures the preservation of biodiversity and the long-term sustainability of forests. Not only does it benefit the environment, but it also improves the quality of life for local communities and workers involved in forestry.
Waste2Wear
In our continued efforts to reduce the use of raw materials, we collaborate with Waste2Wear. They specialize in making textiles (rPET) from recycled PET bottles, which we use as lining material for our bags. Waste2Wear's supply chain is fully transparent and traceable, guaranteeing that all fabrics are 100% rPET without any mixture of new material. Additionally, we utilize recycled cotton for reinforcing shoulder straps, as it is a more sustainable choice compared to new cotton, which requires significant water and pesticide usage.
Wondering how to distinguish true recycled material from others? We ensure that all Waste2Wear fabrics undergo the RA3 test, proving their 100% RPet composition. Unlike products that merely have a small percentage of recycled material, we prioritize full traceability and a transparent supply chain. That's why Waste2Wear is our trusted partner.
To engage customers in our sustainable journey, each bag comes with a card featuring a QR code. Scan it to discover the step-by-step process behind Waste2Wear's innovative transformation.
Waste2Wear's dedication to sustainability in their supply chain earned them the prestigious World Sustainability Award in the Supply Chain category in 2021.
By choosing Waste2Wear and implementing sustainable packaging practices, we are proud to offer our customers products that embody femininity, sustainability, and the commitment to a cleaner planet.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
Even our packaging contributes to our eco-conscious efforts. The polybags that protect our bags during transportation are made from 100% recycled and recyclable material. Additionally, starting from 2023, we're delighted to introduce biodegradable clay granules as an alternative to silica granules. These small packs effectively prevent moisture formation, ensuring that your bag arrives in pristine condition.
We prioritize sustainability without compromising on style and quality, offering feminine elegance while caring for the environment.
