HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY BAG?

How do you make sure your RoR bag lasts longer?

CARRY:
To maintain the shape of the bag, it is best to close all zips, especially if your bag is quite packed. Closing the zip helps take pressure off the bag and prevents it from going out of shape while you are on the move.
The shoulder strap should be long enough to avoid putting too much tension on the bag. You can easily adjust the length with the slider. This ensures maximum comfort when carrying the bag over your shoulder or crossbody.

USE:
Be careful with hand gels, these can contain up to 70% alcohol, making them very dangerous for leather surfaces. Alcohol stains leather. Unfortunately, these stains are often impossible to remove, so make sure your hands are dry before you touch the leather.
If this gel spills all over your bag, wipe it off as soon as possible.

CARE:
The simplest durability advice we can give you is: buy quality and look after it.
When your bag gets dirty, it's best to wipe the dirt off to avoid staining. Be careful with ink pens, as ink can cause a permanent stain. Should the stain not go away, try using leather soap to get it out. The stain may get bigger, so rub with very small movements. Do not use detergents or chemicals, these can reduce the shine of the leather or even damage it. All bags are treated before purchase, but we recommend re-spraying the bag with a protective spray or a colourless leather cream every 3-6 months to protect against rain. The choice of product depends on the type of leather. A good protective ecological nubuck spray, leather spray and colourless leather cream can be bought in good shoe shops and at shoemakers. We recommend always choosing an ecological product.

HOW TO USE LEATHER CREAM?
Follow these steps:
1. Make sure the leather is clean by wiping off any dust with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Put a drop of cream on a dry, clean cloth. Test it on a less visible spot, such as the bottom of your bag, to make sure you don't use too much product for the condition the leather is in.
3. Rub the cream onto the bag in gentle circular motions.
4. Let the bag dry to see the final result. Check for larger marks or scratches that may need to be touched up with a little more product.

CAUTION:
The above recommendation of colourless cream does not apply to Hunter leather: this is the leather that looks like nubuck. For this leather, you can use an (ecological) colourless spray to protect nubuck. The surface of Hunter leather becomes increasingly smooth over the course of use. This is a natural process and only makes the leather more beautiful.

HOW TO USE NUBUCK SPRAY?
Follow these steps:
1. Make sure the leather is clean by wiping off any dust with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Spray some nubuck spray on your bag. Test it on a less visible spot, such as the bottom of your bag, to make sure you don't use too much product for the leather's condition.
3. Spray the spray as evenly as possible and at the correct distance (see packaging) on the bag.
4. Let the bag dry to see the final result. Check for larger stains or scratches that may need to be touched up with a little more product.
